Asset Management

So I have decided on a visual identity. White >  Blue > Grey
I am working on making everything constant now.
Some of the document sizes are incorrect / not to scale.

PostCards v1

Front Layout

Back Layout

Looking for feedback.

The N is an element I thought to add seeing as it is a design exhibition and we do logos. Looking at these as they are I might bring back the bigger nonagon shape if we decide it needs it. Some of the information needs to be tweeked because I was unsure about it. ie the location, mentioning 301 twice. Overall the design feels swiss.

Quantum: Beginnings

Showing a couple things here.
  • The logo, floating in a 3D space.
  • 3 columns (categories) of websites. (search engines, social media, and news)
  • A text box that will change depending on what is currently hovered. Also can be moved anywhere on the page.
  • 2 views to show that is indeed a 3D space.
  • Background image will probably change.
Project perspective. Right now I am mainly showing favicons that will lead to websites. Later I will add more elements such as videos and images most likely.

Quantum

Quantum. VR Web Browsing.

I have decided to take everything I have learned so far and make a simple 3D web browser (which will exist in the browser (so nothing to fancy)). Favicons from websites will exist on six sides of a cube. These cubes will be floating in a 3D space. Upon hovering Over these cubes it will display simple text describing the website. Included will be be a button to go to the website. Taking you out of Quantum.

Desperate effort will be done to keep it simple, light, and optimized. I do have a working prototype at this point as proof of concept. I plan to use the gallery as advertisement space for this as a product. Similar to what other software company's do such as Dropbox, GitHub, etc.

The work shown here is still being thought about. Placeholders are present such as the typography, layout and colors.

Example 6

Trying to partner music in to this VR experience. Hovering over the different color spheres changes the color of the sound waves vibrating in the background. Which is a 360 panoramic video.
This example has a new camera feature that does not require clicking but can be annoying when unwanted. Future pursuits with this idea could get way more intricate, and along with that more interesting.

Problems:
Still some problems remain with browser compatibility.
Discovered the mp4 does not play in the mobile. Possibly because not enough bandwidth?
How do I do show with this idea?

Example 5

Attempted to make a 3D view of the upcoming election.
Hovering over the portraits displays a little information.

Example 3

A much different direction on a 3d eCommerce website then my last two examples. This one is more of an interface then a 3D model. Working off some some panels found on Amazon. I need time to reflect to figure out if i wanna continue down this path or not.

Example 2

I decided my last design was maybe too arbitrary in a way. I'm just looking for a solid set of rules that I can implement when I get to larger websites. This concept handles hierarchy a little better then the last one. The curved panels on the insides would have content on them with further development.

Example 1

example.com is a very basic website.
So I gave myself the task to create a 3D environment based on its HTML structure.
Still a lot of thinking to do.
