A nest built by a non designer
Constructed by Chris. Found that he struggled to built it without rules. He got a basic structure and put moss in the middle for some time of cushion but did not connect them together. Said that he could have used some straw but since I didn't put any of that material in it he didn't use it. He did not think about adding materials to his nest.

I think you might be thinking about "abstracting" designs from these various contributions, by Chris and others. redrawing them in simplified form, leaving out details. drawing them.
ReplyDeleteand thinking about, making connections to, design.

I found it by searching birds + nests + construction
see also the entry "nests of birds" in The Encylopedia Americana (1904)
I will try to locate some more schematic kinds of drawings, but imagine that you will have already found some.
the point here is, to translate this raw material, into a different form, that yields some understanding.
says more about Chris, than about nest structure/construction.
